Since 2010, photographer Bernhard Lang dedicates himself to aerial photography, traveling around the world and looking for singular landscapes impacted by human activities. From the sky, these views almost look like abstract paintings. In the “Miami” series, he captures aerial views of the iconic coastal heaven in Miami. As always with Bernhard Lang, the aesthetic wonder is doubled with a more bitter feeling, linked to an environmental and social awareness.

Bernhard Lang
Since 2010, Bernhard Lang has been doing aerial photography. He has travelled the world in search of landscapes strongly scarred by man’s imprint, which he photographs from aerial viewpoints using a ultra-light plane or a helicopter. Seen from the sky, these panoramas look almost like abstract paintings. Firmly in the field of contemporary art, his work seeks to incite thoughts on the environment whilst also giving aesthetic pleasure. Over the last ten years, his work has been recompensed by different international awards. “The aerial views show the world out of a different, uncommon perspective. [...] Also, you see the influence, the impact of the humans on the world. That’s what I’d like to show.’’
